About Dr Mark Geyer
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Midwestern State University in May 1976 and earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, in May 1980. Following this, I undertook an internship at the Child Study Center Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas, from July 1980 to September 1981.
I also completed 120 hours of postgraduate study in straight wire orthodontic technique. I was awarded membership in the Odontological Honor Society at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1980. Since then, I have been a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society, actively participating in their continuing education programs. I have been practicing dentistry in Dallas since 1983.
Personal
I’m from Wichita Falls, where I met my wife, Susan, during our senior year at Rider High School. We just celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary and we have three grown children: Stewart, Julia, and Edward. Susan and I are Christians, and we find community and fellowship at PCPC.
Susan has a master’s degree in Art History, which she has put to great use. Her roles as Assistant Creator of Education at the DMA and as a board member of the Dallas Opera and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra have enriched our lives with art and culture. Because of her, I’ve been blessed with countless opportunities to travel and appreciate the beauty of music and art.
In my career, I continue to enjoy the technical, artistic, and relational aspects of dentistry. In my spare time, I focus on the great state of Texas: its people, places, lakes, rivers, and ranch lands. I love activities like fishing, hunting, and boating. I strive to serve others and enjoy life one day at a time, recognizing that each day is a gift from above.
